I have 6 months of professional experience supporting two wonderful 9-year-old autistic children during their school days in Finland. Both children had developmental needs that required an individual and patient approach, and one of them also had difficulties with speech production. I learned how important clear routines, predictable daily structure and calm breaks can be for children who need additional support. I adapted my approach to each child's individual needs and supported them throughout their school day with patience, encouragement and care. This experience has taught me to pay close attention to children's individual ways of communicating and to create a calm, safe and supportive environment where they can feel comfortable.

Whether it’s playing football in the park, doing a fun arts and crafts project or baking something together, I enjoy finding activities that make children excited and engaged. I also play the piano, and I think there’s nothing quite as lovely as singing and making music together with children.
